Noticed lately how we don’t make space for even a moment of boredom anymore? We quickly find an app notification that needs attending to, or a quick linkedin scroll in search of some magical post.
Yet our boredom is our key to creativity, to insight, to, frankly, a meaningful life. It’s the gateway for new ideas, for aligning our activities with our true self, for… whatever, you get the picture.
Every year in January, I do a daily practice to which I invite you to participate.
A practice of sitting with my own thoughts.
Of letting the browser cache clear.
And opening up the space for whatever needs to arise.
Or, better said, for going deeper. (direction up or down yet to be determined.. note to self: some of your concepts here are confusing..)
So at the start of a year whose trailer promises AI agents, more wars and angry climate, let’s dive into our own deeper selves for a moment of silence and truth and boredom. Make space for sincerely just being.
And boy is it worth it.
Happy New Year!
Note: This is completely free and deceptively simple. No daily check-ins, no habit tracking, no pressure - just an invitation to join me in creating moments of quiet. I'll share how I approach it, and you're welcome to use that as inspiration or find your own way. Consider this a gentle nudge to make space for yourself in whatever way feels right to you.

My favorite thing to do is drive without any music, in silence...my brain thanks me with the gift of cognition.
