Laretta dear,
I know you are as busy this summer as I am, so plans about our corespondance are in order.
I'm going off to The Klosters Forum next week, which is absolutely exciting because I'm going to meet all the people - the very few people - who are doing Regenerative Architecture in the world today.
There will be about 80 of us.
Ironically, we’ll be talking about getting regen from niche to mainstream.
We will be talking about all of the things that I am writing to you about. I’m going to be meeting the great Bill Reed from Regenesis. Angela Sturgeon who was CEO at Living Future Institute, Jenny Anderson from Really Regenerative, my friend Emmanuel Pauwels from A Regenerative Place (both Jenny and Emmanuel’s courses are incredibly good).
And so many others.
I'll also be showing them what I’ve been working on: Regenerative Patterns is a draft model of what a regenerative architecture framework could be, a questioning of your project through patterns and insights instead of a checklist of stuff to add.
A story of your project, told through this ecological systems thinking lens.
A meandering… OK, you get the picture. Let me know what you think of course. Now, while it’s in it’s infancy.
So Klosters. When I come back, I'll tell you all about it.
So, I'm going to be Mrs. Architect. I'll be wearing a collared shirt.
And I'll leave my straw hat at home. I think.
I will be writing a tiny bit less often to you throughout the summer. As will you probably?
I'm French, after all, and August break is sacred.
Love,
Jo
P.S. What are you doing this summer that is deeply anchored in Place? What Lands will you be Listening to?
